Chief Medical Officer
The JKUAT Health Services Department is one of the thirteen (13) departments in the Division of Administration, Planning and Development. It is a support department mandated to provide diagnostic, curative, preventive and promotional health services, to the University staff, their dependants, students and the surrounding community. Thika Highway commuters seek treatment at the Hospital in case of accidents. At the center of Department is a fifty (50) bed capacity hospital with male, female and children's wards for inpatients. It is registered as a level four (4) hospital by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board and is NHIF accredited.

**Health Care Services** The JKUAT Hospital Offers inpatient and outpatient services which include: - Preventive/promotive - Curative - Rehabilitative **Other Services:** - Laboratory - X-ray - Pharmacy - VCT - Physiotherapy - Mother Child Health/Family Planning - Dental - TB, HIV/AIDs Comprehensive Care - Ambulance
**Requirements to Obtain Services:** Identification Card (ID) for: - Students - Staff - Staff dependants Cash payment receipts for Private Patients

**Timeline** In the provision of these services the medical personnel will be guided by the existing quality management system standards and other professional regulations.
